‘They’re my sisters:’ Jaida Patrick on the community that she found while leading the women’s basketball team to new heights.

Despite only playing two seasons at Columbia, Columbia women’s basketball senior Jaida Patrick has made a profound impact on the team. Last season, she helped the Lions achieve its best season in program history. Her impact has not slowed down this season, as the team is positioned at the top of the Ivy League with hopes of receiving its first ever NCAA March Madness tournament bid. However, Jaida says that the relationships that she has formed while at Columbia transcend any accolades or accomplishments. In this episode of “A Look at the Lions,” Caleb Dye talks with Jaida Patrick about her journey to Columbia and the community that she has found in her two seasons as a Lion.
