Nahi Hai Dil Mera, in the words of the ‘tragic’ Emperor himself. His agony of
not being able to go back to his country India again, made him to pen down

kitnā
hai bad-nasīb 'zafar' dafn ke liye

do
gaz zamīn bhī na milī kū-e-yār meñ

This sher (Couplet) alone made the whole
ghazal famous. It will make your heart heavy.

In this series of Ghazal Ki Kahani, first
half would be of recitation and second half would have explanation or
interpretation of the Ghazal. We will pick up each and every sher, and will go
through the feelings of the Ghazal.
