You guessed it, episode 7 is all about Vaginas!
In this episode I interview April Davis, owner and and creator of the Vagina Blog and the Vagina Blog Podcast.
April is a compelling speaker, creative consultant, visual artist, and wordsmith who is featured in magazines, on podcasts, and on stage, sharing her wisdom, humor and knowledge. Her passion and drive created an entire community around female body health, as she empowers women and vagina owners to love themselves fully while focusing on bringing light to taboo topics that we just don’t talk enough about, like sex and periods, along with self-love and body positivity.
Between attending births as a doula, a photographer and a birth assistant to a midwife April has seen a lot of vaginas. Educating the world about vaginas is pretty much a dream come true for her so she made it her full-time gig.
In todays episode we dive into the (sad) state of affairs in the US birth world, female body health, our cycles, why tampons are bad for you, orgasms, owning your sexuality, loving your body, and the racial disparities among black women birthing in America.
I always laugh and have such a fun time with April and today was no exception. What better way to enjoy our bodies and our sexuality than with a little laughter and pleasure?
