Description

When something or an event happens to us personally or in the surrounding area that feels life-threatening. It can leave us in shock, disbelief, or emotional shutdown.  Your mind and body go into survival mode.

Painfully, we turn our hearts not only to Jamaica, Cuba, and Haiti, where families are beginning the painful process of rebuilding after Storm Melissa but also to people around the world facing trauma in all its forms. Whether it’s the devastation of natural disasters, the heartbreak of war, the sudden loss of loved ones, or the quiet suffering that'sunfolding far from the headlines, countless lives are being shaken at once. The storm may be over, but the mental and emotionalaftershocks continue in every place where life has been upended, and hearts are struggling to heal.

We’re joined by Andrea Wilkinson, a licensed Counselling Professional who specialises in offering counselling to people, including disaster survivors.

Together, we’ll explore what real healing looks like inthose first critical hours and throughout the long journey that follows. If you have loved ones facing trauma, or you simply want to understand how to better support those who are hurting, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.
