Reading the story of David and Goliath we always get the perception that David was the underdog. If you really read the the scripture you will see that Goliath may have been the Philistine’s champion but David was God’s champion.
Why do we sometimes underestimate another person based on their own skill and ability?While David was in the field tending to the sheep, he was defending his sheep from lions, tigers and bears. If that wasn’t preparation for battles to come, I don’t know what is.
David was a harp playing, God worshipping, skilled fighter.
Don’t judge anyone, because you don’t know who they are or whose they are. As we say in Bahamian culture, “ if you don’t know a man’s name, call his mister!”
