Description

The concept of quiet quitting is fascinating to me. How can we name something that is actually about supporting ones wellbeing in a way that implies laziness and lack of care?

What if instead we focused on setting boundaries, being clear and open with expectations, and compensated people accordingly for their time and effort instead of expecting more and more and more?

A workplace that values wellbeing, and wants staff who thrive, not just for the work they do but for the people they are, would encourage conversations that mean quiet quitting doesn't have to occur. Instead, people would feel safe enough to share what's getting in the way of their wellbeing, or when workload is too much, and leaders and managers would be open to reflecting and creating change.
