Ross worked on satellite orbits for future Apollo missions and helped write NASA's "Planetary Flight Handbook", the agency's comprehensive guide on space travel. She also worked on preliminary concepts for flights to Mars and Venus. Upon retirement, she advocated fpr Native American female engineers.
