EDUCATOR, COMPOSER, AND CONCERT PIANIST
Montgomery studied piano in France in the 1930s before completing her masters in 1943 and doctorate in 1953 at the University of Rochester. During the 1976 Bicentennial Celebration, she directed a music series at the Kennedy Center featuring music from 50 states.
