Psalm 27– guys it’s so beautiful. The Lord is our stronghold!!! Stronghold = a place that has been fortified so as to protect it against attack. In history, no army could successfully defeat an opponent within a stronghold. THAT IS OUR GOD! V. 1-3 proven confidence in God, V. 4 desire to be in God’s presence, V. 5-6 the blessings in God’s presence, V. 7-10 David’s prayer to seek the faithful God, V. 11-13 David’s prayer for guidance, V. 14 WAIT on the Lord. We have an example to follow: David. He ran TO the Lord in this time of adversity. He reminded himself of God’s character with confidence, desired to be in God’s presence, found blessing in the presence of God, prayed that God would be faithful to him and that he would have guidance, and then was encouraged to wait & be strong!!!! Let’s do the same.
