Few months ago, my Apple Watch let me know that I sit quite a lot. So I gave myself few rules: -no scrolling on social unless on a walk, -starting my day with a dog walk, -starting my work day on a walk, -chats with my family and friends in Europe on walks, and more… In July I walked 122 miles total. And in August my goal was 200 miles and I made that too. The benefits have been incredible, I don’t have neck pain, I don’t have to do any indoor cardio and I’m calm no matter what’s happening around. Our emotions are to be moved through our bodies. Doesn’t matter- hyped up after teaching 18 bbms on zoom, or anxious about my upcoming flight- I take a 2+ mile walk. In this case- no phone, no music, no talking. Walking has been surprisingly good on so many levels.
