Desiree Rodriguez – Desiree has been an influential leader in evolving brands through the launch of new products and services. An innovator, she has worked to drive revenue and expand businesses through the successful disruption of traditional echo-systems in both established and emerging markets.
Desiree's entrepreneurial view is balanced with a proven track record of wins, having driven the launch of services, consumer products and technologies with several of the world’s leading companies including NFL, Verizon, Whole Foods, Telefonica, The Walt Disney Company, Kroger, NBCUniversal, Turner Broadcasting, BBC, Warner Music, Apple and Amazon.
In 2013 she launched her own brand, a premium, mineral rich bottled water from New Zealand. True Zealand water was the first in a line of replenishment products designed to offer pure natural enhancements to optimize our body’s natural abilities. Desiree worked tirelessly and within 2 years her brand was placed in 1500 stores across the country as well as 4 major airports. Intrigued by the airport ecosystem and as a frequent traveler Desiree’s next line focused on replenishing the vitamins and minerals the body loses during flight. True Replenish TRAVEL, a single serve vitamin packet used natural ingredients backed by scientific study to counteract the effects of air travel.
Continuing on in the realization of her vision to bring high quality wellness products to travelers, in 2016 Desiree began conceptualizing the next evolution in travel retail with the brand Travel+Well.
By 2018 Travel Well Holdings was formed to offer both Retail and Food & Beverage products to delight and uplift travelers with unexpected yet much needed items to improve their personal journey, as well as operates a wholesale distribution division. With a focus on wellness, emerging brands and local sourcing, this latest enterprise represents the culmination of all of Desiree’s experience and diverse skill set. In addition to 10 retail locations, In 2020 as travel screeched to a stop Desiree and her team went from supporting airports to supporting the food supply chain. In partnership with the USDA in service of local food banks and Feeding America, Travel Well Holdings sourced and distributed more than 25 million pounds of food throughout the Western United States during the first 6 months of the pandemic. Since that time TWH continues to support airports, retail, federal and state agencies in sourcing, producing and distributing products nationwide.
As a sister, mother, friend, entrepreneur, CEO, astrologer, somatic practitioner, and tantrika, she has not followed the linear path in career, love, or life. She was born a seeker, fascinated with the growth and expansion of the human spirit.
While working in tech and media, evolving brands through the launch of new products and services… she was also sitting with shamans, learning from medicine women, and dancing naked in the jungle.
The energy of Eros, of aliveness, is what connected her to all of life- to the liminal space and the physical. The seen and the unseen.
