This week the FTBP crew are talking Gordon Parks's history-making film, The Learning Tree (1969) based on his 1963 semi-autobiographical novel of the same name. Written, directed, produced and composed by Parks, the film is a coming-of-age story about a teenager named Newt living in 1920s Kansas.
