Description

Louis Cameron’s exhibition opened February 18, 2022 in Berlin, Germany. During this soundbite he discusses his artwork titled, “Last Words: George Floyd,” with Jewell Sparks, and mentions that the incident most likely caused many of us to think about what we would say if we were in the same situation. Cameron has participated in the Artist-in-Residence program at The Studio Museum in Harlem and been a Fellow in Painting with the New York Foundation for the Arts. His work is in the collections of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo; the International Center of Photography, New York; JPMorgan Chase Art Collection, New York; the Saint Louis Art Museum, and The Studio Museum in Harlem, New York. Cameron has taught at Princeton University, Yale University, and Brooklyn College amongst other institutions. Cameron will help select artists for BAAR’s upcoming art journey for 6 American artists taking place this fall in Berlin, Germany.
