Description

Forbes' "30 Under 30" list is meant to showcase successful young entrepreneurs and professionals. However, some of the individuals on this list have found themselves on the wrong side of the law. Sam Bankman-Fried, co-founder of FTX, had more than $170 million seized by the Justice Department due to legal issues. Elizabeth Holmes, founder of Theranos, was sentenced to over 11 years in prison for wire fraud. Martin Shkreli, former CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals, was fined $64.6 million and barred from the pharmaceutical industry for using anticompetitive practices to control a drug's market. Nikunj Jain was involved in the GainBitcoin scam, which was India's biggest crypto Ponzi scheme. On a brighter note, Charle Javive is the founder of Luminar, and at 26 years old, he made it onto Forbes' "30 Under 30" list for his work in creating autonomous vehicle technology. Austin Russell, also on the list, founded Luminar at age 17 and became the world's youngest self-made billionaire at 25 years old.
