When we talk about the risk and likelihood of concussion we tend to think of elite and high level athletes. We think of being checked into the boards in ice hockey or being knocked back to hit our head on the court in basketball. We don’t think about how tripping, falling and hitting our heads in our bathroom could have the same life changing effect. Yet it can be equally traumatic.
This week we have the pleasure to be speaking with Erin McCarthy, PhD about the research she is doing following her own concussion experience. She leads us through understanding how our brain heals and what kinds of activities can help and hinder our brain’s recovery from a concussive injury.
