Quick announcement: We’re waiting on some new audio/visual equipment; some web stuff; better link up with our Radio Nossa people; and more. We’ll have guests again soon, better videos, and live stuff coming up in the Autumn, and maybe even some random surprises before that. {Stay Tuned!!}

Today we ramble about the hilarious state of Britain’s ruling Conservative political party.

In a further swipe at world conservative figures, Shinzo Abe is assassinated by a lone wolf killer with an 18th century style homemade blunderbuss, proving once and for all that even in countries with strict gun control, it doesn’t work. …..( I’ve actually seen these sentiments posited by the 2nd amendmenters….. SMFH)

……and finally a hint about the subject of next weeks installment: the worldwide property/housing crisis and vulture fund greed fueling misery.

TIA for listening

Corrections and Clarifications…Hit me up in the comments

(04:20).....In 2002, twelve years after Margaret Thatcher was asked at a dinner what was her  greatest  achievement.  Thatcher  replied:  “Tony  Blair  and  New  Labour.”

(06:00).....Kier Starmer MI6, OK I’m admittedly way off base here and my absolute, unabashed bias is on show here. He was never in MI6 he was in fact the head of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), and very much in the bag for MI5, MI6, GCHQ, and the security state in general. My bad, so he’s more of an HW than a W.

(06:20).....John Prescott was Deputy Labour Leader, under Tony Blair the penultimate nod to the old working class/union membership.  His dad was a rail worker, and his grandad was a coal miner. He worked on merchant ships, and became a union organizer and then a Labour deputy leader (deputy PM)

(25:30).....Las Madres y Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo had a big rally in 2021, March 25th: so as usual I had the right thing in mind, but my dates and logistics got shuffled. I’m not a historian, and as I’ve said we do these things without prep and just freestyle, so I had to go back and check my data. Check it for yourselves it’s a fascinating and foreboding history.

Shinzo Abe

(35:40).....LDP was in continuous power, almost true, excepting for two brief periods, and their defacto power was never really in question

There’s an abundance of study that contradicts the narrative that the atomic bombs were “necessary.” They were deployed as a warning to the USSR.

It was General Curtis LeMay who said, "If we'd lost the war, we'd all have been prosecuted as war criminals."

(47:08).....I said Blackstone, I meant Blackrock, although there’s probably a Blackstone vulture fund as well, the name is ominous enough.
