Hebrews 10:1-18 | An Anchor for the Soul | Trent Hunter
Perfection. We're conflicted about this at times. No one likes a perfectionist, unless they're your surgeon. No one likes someone who thinks they are perfect unless it's an athlete who really did land a 10/10 on a difficult jump. On the one hand, we want other people to be perfect for us—from spouses to servers. On the other hand, try as we may, we are anything but perfect for them. Worst of all, every human lives haunted by heaven and the truth that they do not belong in the presence of God. Not only are we not perfect, but we are sinners against the God of infinite perfection. In this Sermon’s text, Hebrews 10:1–18, we find out just how perfect a savior Jesus is for us and just how perfectly—freely, without inhibition—we can worship God because of the great salvation he brought.
