Christ in today's gospel reading shows us the synodal way; A church in communion, participation towards a mission. Christ, sends us out like he does the seventy-two. He does not only invite us to share in the mission of sending the gospel message to our neighbors but he sends us out. The urgency of this cannot be overemphasized and we must seize the chance to the very laborers we pray for, in the Lord's bountiful harvest.
May Christ, our Master grant us the grace to act swiftly towards this goal; making him known by words and deeds in our homes, at our workplaces, in everyplace where we find ourselves.
