Well, we've had a lot of experience - both with purchasing resale homes and building new homes - from the plans, after viewing a builder's model homes and by purchasing a 'spec' home that a builder constructed waiting for a buyer like us to come along and be the first to own their new construction as it was completed. We've seen and experienced a LOT . . and like most things as complicated as building a home, something is likely to go a little off course. A mistake can be made. What really matters is how everyone - both you as the buyer, and the builder's representatives - follow up and find good solutions to correct the issue or figure out a suitable alternative solution that works for both parties.
