Description

If you grew up in the late 90's - 2000's like I did, you likely remember the celebrities' extremely thin physiques. This wasn't the first time thin was 'in' and apparently it wouldn't be the last. The headlines and photos of celebs are tellings that, once again, our body shapes are an evolving trend. The diabetes prescription drug, Ozempic and it's 'research-grade' siblings are to thank for the resurgence of this svelte body type. This morning we're exploring this dangerous narrative that 'thin is power' and talking about the cover story of this week's New York Magazine

Jess is sharing her past struggles with body image and disordered eating and George sheds light on body image issues that are affecting men as well.

If you are triggered by the New York magazine article and all of the other press surrounding this issue, you're not alone. A lot of us have worked really hard to overcome decades of programming. Know that you're worthy no matter what your body looks like.
