Description

Have you ever noticed similarities in various characters in books and movies - patterns of behavior pertaining to role that person is playing? What you were noticing was an archetype. All the world over, archetypes are used for quick and easy understanding of human behaviors. No matter where you go in the world, everyone understands the general role of 'Father,' 'Mother,' 'Child,' 'Hero,' 'Angel,' 'Villain,' or 'Devil.'

In this episode, Keith and Julie examine the qualities and defining characteristics of various archetypes to better understand themselves and others. Archetypes appear early on in the Bible. For example, Cain is not just a bad person in Genesis. He embodies an angry, jealous, victimized, adversarial archetype that can be seen throughout history, society - and maybe even in us.
