“My name is Aidan Alcala. I'm a young filmmaker from Austin, Texas. I've been studying film at McCallum High School in their cinematic arts program for the past 4 years, and I have just recently graduated from there. I’m still trying to find my style, but I really like finding visual ways to put the audience into the character's head space. From feeling alone in a wide shot, to feeling vulnerable in a close up, these visual elements are things I find fun to experiment with.
My friend and music composer, Jonas Richardson, who will be joining us on this podcast has made the music for all my films. He made all the music in Write What You Know, except for the song in the party scene. I love his sound, and I hope we can continue working on films together. ”
