Description

On this episode of the Film Sessions Podcast, we are excited to feature Alexandra Battereau:

“My name is Alexandra and I am a 21-year-old filmmaker. I have always been fascinated by cinema. Younger, I was always looking to find a way to share my point of view and my feelings. So, for that I chose cinema. It allows me to discover more about myself. I love to write characters that feel like me, a bit behind, hidden in the shadow and most of the time, totally lost. But at the end, they are just people who want to be accepted and successful. Scenarios allow me to lay out what I can’t explain in real life, and staging depicts what words can’t express. As a filmmaker, I would love my viewers to be connected to my characters, to feel what they feel and thanks to that feel less lonely. Just as I have been able to do in the past, and still do. My goal is to create reflection and contemplation. This movie is my very first short film that I produced and co-directed by myself.”

This episode was hosted by Jenn Keeney, a Podcast Host at the Student World Impact Film Festival, and produced by Mark Leschinsky, the Festival Director of the Student World Impact Film Festival.
