On this episode of the Film Sessions Podcast, we are excited to feature Mohamed El Khatib:
“I am a major film student at the American University in Cairo, and I am 22 years old. This was my first film as a director.
My beginnings were as an actor, which fueled my desire to discover what goes on behind the camera, which led me to study directing and cinematography. And, for me, the most important aspect of directing a good film was selecting the perspective that the audience was seeking for, so that you could answer their questions and have them feel the characters' moments on screen.”
This episode was hosted by Sebastian Ospina, a Podcast Host at the Student World Impact Film Festival, and produced by Mark Leschinsky, the Festival Director of the Student World Impact Film Festival.
