Description

On this episode of the Film Sessions Podcast, we are excited to feature Pency Lucero:

“At the young age of three, I witnessed my father’s passing at the hands of my mother’s cousin. This shaped my entire belief system about the world and what I would like to do about it. I was always drawn to the art of documentary filmmaking due to its ability to capture the essence of reality, challenge perceptions, and foster empathy. By delving into diverse cultures, communities, and individuals, documentaries have the power to bridge gaps and encourage understanding among different groups of people. Through my work, I aim to give a voice to the voiceless, shedding light on the experiences and struggles of individuals and communities that often go unnoticed. I want to unveil untold stories, like mine, and amplify the voices of those who have been silenced by societal norms, discrimination, or political oppression.”

This episode was hosted by Jenn Keeney, a Podcast Host at the Student World Impact Film Festival, and produced by Mark Leschinsky, the Festival Director of the Student World Impact Film Festival.
