“Samuel James Thomson is a Swiss British writer and director. He has recently graduated from the University of the Creative Arts Farnham.

He holds his main inspirations from European Art House cinema, holding in high regards auteurs such Tarkovsky, Bergman, Godard, Kieślowski and Fellini.

He aspires to bring back Art House Cinema back to the front scene.

His graduation film: ""Not too far away from Paradise"" is about to start its festival run in early May.

With his producer Pranati Wadhwa, he has set up a film company Monkey Gruffo Productions aiming to help young filmmakers make their films and distribute them.

Atm, him and his producer are in pre-production of their new film Petit Ange and are currently looking for funds. ”
