“Thomas Gilchrist, a student at Parkland High School, PA, is a student filmmaker, directing short films such as Money Talks: The "Limits" of Financial Influence in Politics, and The Associated Press: The First Centralization of Fact Based News. His work has been screened at accredited film festivals such as the 2022 United Kingdom Student Film Festival, and on PBS Philadelphia. He has won film competitions such as the 2022 National 4H Film Festival, WildSound Political Film Festival and the National History Day Pennsylvania State Competition. In constant pursuit of knowledge, Thomas Gilchrist sees historical documentaries as an important medium for storytelling, allowing us to see our present in the context of our often complex past. In addition to documentary filmmaking, Thomas is an accomplished pianist and musical composer and enjoys playing tennis, skiing, and a good book.”
