Description

On this episode Ari, Caroline and Lusi talk the death of a British monarch, colonialism, transphobia and our contributing co host Cynthia Grace joins us to speak on the new works of J.K Rowling. On todays episode we ask if the Queen of England Elizabeth Mary is a war criminal, what colonization is, what transphobia is, and why J.K Rowling and her work is dangerous. The truth is, someone died, and do we respect the dead who have done deeds unforgivable? No, we speak the truth no matter how awful and uncomfortable it is to hear. The Queen of England is a symbol of decorum and stability in the post-World War II world. But to people of places that Britain invaded, carved up and colonized over centuries, the 96-year-old grandmother — and the rest of the royal family — evoke complex feelings, to say the least. We seize an opportunity and we speak. With works like j.k Rowling being sold worldwide we who are oppressed and marginalized must speak up, and so we do, we no remorse for our lives are at stake, and with “comedians” left and right invalidating the trans community, we call them out. trans·pho·bic/ˌtranzˈfōbik/Learn to pronounceadjective1. having or showing a dislike of or prejudice against transgender or intersex people. ⸻
