Ron Swoboda was a major league baseball player know forgetting clutch hits, being a great teammate and establishing a special bond with the fan base that followed him. An excellent hitter who helped led an improbable group to a storied championship, he made a play on the biggest stage, in the best baseball city in the world which became legendary and did as much to win that title as any play in that Series. Affable, beloved, personable and caring, he then went onto become a much respected sportscaster in three major markets. A New York legend!
