Episode 18
In this episode, Charmaine and Jasmine, two licensed therapists, are discussing Kendrick Lamar’s song Father Time from his album Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers. We are discussing the context of the song and how it relates to so many of our lives. Join us as we discuss things we learn from our parents, our relationship dynamics with our parents, how we learn attachment and how it shows up in our behaviors as well as future relationships, and how we as Black people deal with emotions differently. We also discuss gender differences in parenting and teaching emotions. It’s a lot but it is so worth it.
