FPA Awardee Aleksandr Gorbachev explains the state of journalism in Russia. Newly escaped from Moscow he arrived in Istanbul and told the FPA about the constraints on media and commentary back home. A poignant view from a journalist who is just one of the latest exiles from Russia over the century. Aleksandr Gorbachev is a writer, editor and filmmaker who has worked extensively in independent Russian media. We welcome him back to tell it like it is. And thank him for his bravery.
