Most Christians know the importance of prayer, but Paul gets very specific about his prayer life. He states that we should pray for the leaders in our country and in our towns, even if those leaders are not worthy of prayer. I think we can all agree that we don't love hostility but rather peace, that we can live a "quiet life, godly and dignified in every way." This is what Paul envisions for the future, a life without persecution, a life where we can worship Jesus freely. God wants us to understand that prayer is not just for us, but is for all people, His desire is that everyone would come to know and worship Jesus.
