Acts 12, we see government persecute the church - James is killed and Peter is imprisoned. All the while the church was praying that God would somehow free Peter, and when He does Rhoda, a servant girl, is shocked at seeing his appearance and the apostles didn't believe that he was set free. God is our way maker, He's always answering prayers, it's okay to be excited when He answers your prayer, but it's another thing to be surprised when he does because that's who He is - we serve a God who sees you and always hears you, even when He doesn't answer your prayers. God is always deserving of our praise!
