Description

Adam LaSalle was born in Pittsburgh, PA. He moved to southwestern Mississippi to live with his father when he was 10. He had an ordinary life as a child until 1983 when he was 16 years old. Adam was shot in the head and the bullet cut his optic nerve and left him totally blind. After months in the hospital and convalescing at a friend’s house, he returned to Pennsylvania to live with his mother. Adam graduated high school and went to college to pursue his love for the study of history. After completing his undergraduate degree, he earned a master’s degree in history, with concentrations in theological and medieval studies. For the last 20 years, Adam and his wife have lived in the Greater Richmond, VA area. He has learned a great deal about trauma, adversity, and faith, and shares some of his insights in our conversation.
