Description

Dana George has been writing professionally about business and finance for over 30 years. She’s written for newspapers all across the United States, both as a staff writer and a freelancer. Dana holds a college degree in business, which created the foundation for the type of business stories she writes about. Her favorite writing style is the stories of “everyday people”—the normal folks who keep everything running in their own way.  Dana also learned about the adversity that sometimes appears in our financial lives. She got married as a teenager and immediately faced a hard financial path; they had to figure out how to make their lives work. As Dana sees it today, this experience made her “a far more compassionate reporter and writer.” What I love about Dana is that she’s transparent about her missteps with money. “I’ve made a ton of financial mistakes along the way,” she confesses, “which is absolutely great for the work I've been doing for the past four years.” She’s poured her life experiences into articles she’s written for Bankrate, Dun & Bradstreet, Dollar Sense, and many more magazines and newspapers. Dana is also a novelist and has written four books, three of which are historical novels and one paranormal novel, Escape from Ruskin Heights.
