Reuben Keith Green is a retired naval officer who spent 22 years with the Atlantic Fleet. He began his naval career as an enlisted serviceman. After attending college and Officer Candidate School (OCS), the Navy commissioned him in 1984. Lieutenant Commander Green completed four consecutive maritime tours, then spent his final one ashore. He has read extensively about minority military service people for decades. Keith is the author of BLACK OFFICER, WHITE NAVY. He is working on another book about the experiences of underrepresented servicemen and women in the United States armed forces.
