Dr. Tyler Gonzalez is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon. He is an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of South Carolina. He earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of California at Berkeley, an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, and a medical degree from UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine. Dr. Gonzalez completed his medical residency in orthopedic surgery at Harvard Medical School and his foot and ankle surgery training at Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Gonzalez has focused on improving patient care, medical education, and research throughout his career. His interests and passion for translational, clinical, and biomechanical research have appeared in over 100 scientific publications and presentations. He also lectures at regional, national, and international forums on minimally invasive surgical approaches to foot and ankle surgery. He is frequently called upon to review research published in journals, including FOOT AND ANKLE INTERNATIONAL, the JOURNAL OF THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF ORTHOPEDIC SURGEONS, and the AMERICAN BOARD OF ORTHOPEDIC SURGEONS.
