Dr. Shaun Nelms, Vice President for Community Partnerships at the University of Rochester, will be joined by Dr. Linda Alpert-Gillis and Jerard Johnson from the Pediatric Behavioral Health & Wellness Department to discuss the region's first mental health clinic for youth: the Brighter Days Pediatric Mental Health Urgent Care Center. They will cover examples of acute distress, the support caregivers provide, and what families can expect during a visit. Additionally, they will share insights from community families who contributed to the center's creation.
For life-threatening situations and/or medical emergencies, call 911.
