On Tuesday, October 15th the WDKX Jam Squad had the pleasure of broadcasting live from the SPIE Optifab Optical Fabrication Conference.
SPIE Optifab is North America’s premier optical manufacturing conference and exhibition and draws in over 2,000 optics professionals. The four-day conference will include technical presentations about the latest in the science of designing and manufacturing optical components.
If you would like to attend this conference, the hours are as follows:
- Tue. Oct 15th / Wed. Oct 16th: 10:00 am- 5:00 pm
--A job fair will be hosted on these two days for anyone interested in working in the various fields of optical fabrication.
- Thur. Oct 17th: 10:00 am- 3:00 pm
--This day will be dedicated to students who will be able to learn about optical manufacturing from leading experts and will have the opportunity to speak with 180 optical fabrication companies, and see precision machines in action.
--Students must be accompanied by adults. Students and accompanying adults receive free exhibition access any day, but only Thursday includes this special program.
--Students that signed up by 4 October will be treated to a free lunch, sponsored by the The Institute of Optics, Univ. of Rochester.
