In Luke 24, the disciples were instructed by the Risen Jesus to wait in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit had come and filled them with power. Why? Because they couldn't fulfill the commission without the Holy Spirit. The same truth rings true today for us - we MUST be filled with the love and power of God.
