Description

In Luke 5:27-32, Jesus did something incredibly scandalous. A couple things, actually. He invited a tax collector named Levi to be one of his disciples. He expected his other disciples to accept Levi as a fellow disciple. He expected them to work through their differences and see Levi as valuable.
And if that wasn’t crazy enough, Jesus took his other disciples to a party thrown by Levi with all of his tax collector friends. It was a Who’s Who of the most hated people in the community. And Jesus was loving it. Because they made room for Jesus. So he made room for them. He saw them as people with a story in the making. Jesus expected his disciples to do the same thing.
So what do you do with a Levi?
