What does the word “peace” mean to you?
For some, it means the absence of war. Or maybe watching the sunset at the beach. Or even a calm day of doing nothing. But according to the Bible, peace is so much more. It is a word that means wholeness or prosperity.
In Isaiah 9, it said Jesus would be the “Prince of Peace.” At his birth, the angels declared “peace on earth to people he favors” (Luke 2:13-14).
From the life of Jesus we learn this truth: Peace is not the absence of conflict; peace is found in the presence of Christ.
