When Peter Falconio went missing in the vast Aussie Outback , it was one of the biggest mysteries of my time. It gained attention from all over the world , as Pete's girlfriend , Joanne Lees had survived the attack , but much to everyone's frustration remained reluctant to talk about it publicly. She was quickly condemmend , reminding everyone of another woman who refused to show emotion to the press , Lindy Chamberlain.
Although drug runner Bradley Murdoch was arrested and convicted of Pete's murder , it is a subject that has sparked many a debate for years. Is Joanne telling the truth about what happened that night or does she know more than we think ? Why would a seasoned drug runner kill a man on a national highwway in a supposed random attack ?
This new documentry , Murder in The Outback claims there is more evidence we dont know about including 'sensational' new evidence from the truckie who picked Joanne up involving a mysterious red car.
Frustratingly this doco throws up more questions than answers. Here I attempt to make sense of them ( spoiler alert - I'm still confused !)
