For our Season 2 premiere, Mase, Laura and Kristen sit down with Trace Thurman of the popular podcast Horror Queers. Trace (he/him) is an award winning podcast host, freelance writer, and film critic who visited Queertowne shortly before relocating with his husband from Austin to Colorado. We discuss Trace's thoughts on his time in Austin, his favorite scary movies with queer elements, and why the collective fascination with Final Girls is paramount to understanding the horror genre. Laura opens up her initial experiences in LA and how she's adapting to her new home. We also debut our new game show called Queertowne Quiz Time! Laura and Trace compete to answer a series of increasingly loaded questions, with Mase as the devious question writer and asker, and K Wash judging the answers and awarding a winner. Giggles ensue.
