Close your eyes and imagine the sport at the Olympics - what do you see?
This week Mike, Scott & Gavin discuss which potential rule and equipment changes could help grow the sport and make it more viewer-friendly so that it could one day make it to the Olympics.
Serving and offense are the problems, how do we find that balance where defensive touches occur more often than aces, but where aces are still part of the game? Is one solution hosting tournaments dedicated to testing rule/equipment changes to collect data? Is the key that we all need to stay open-minded and understand that this sport is still very young and will need to be constantly evaluated in order to achieve that 'optimal' state as quickly as possible.
The guys end the show with Mike putting Scott & Gavin's knowledge of roundnet rules to the test...who knew that people use to play rock-paper-scissors to decide if they had to keep or remove their cleats while playing...
