LandLife 82: Those who CARE more WIN more
The President/CEO of Elnik Systems, a Global Industrial furnace
manufacturer, Vice President of DSH Technologies process engineering and
metallurgical service organization, and owner/chief wood worker at SJ
Wood Company, is Stefan Joens. He began his working life at the age of
14 with his family business, Elnik, where he worked through all areas of
the business as a utility style team support member performing various
tasks in the stockroom, machine shop, assembly, shipping/receiving, and
engineering.
After shifting his career focus to finance, Stefan
graduated from the University of Delaware with a business degree focused
on finance and economics. He then spent 4 years working as a financial
planner for individuals and businesses. However, he felt a pull towards
the technical side of his brain and rejoined his family business,
working through all areas of customer service, field service,
operations, general management, and now leads the organization with a
passion for education and support to the metal part making industries
and the company's employees.
Stefan has been chairman of multiple
tradeshow conferences and an active board member on various
industry-specific associations. He spent 6 months improving his
technical processing knowledge working at the Fraunhofer Institute in
Bremen, Germany, alongside many research and development colleagues.
His
passions include motivation, problem-solving, learning, adventure,
manufacturing/design, golf, and snowboarding. Throughout his life, he
has worked with many organizations and has seen a lot of manufacturing
installations and operations. Stefan uses this experience and network to
help individuals and companies grow in their respective industries.
