"My husband and I are in our early 50s. Both our children have moved out so we’ve started thinking about planning for our future as we don’t want to be a burden to them. My mother recently passed away and left us an inheritance.
We still have a mortgage of about $100,000 and we inherited $400,000.
My parents have always said that we should get a rental property when we have the money but I’m worried about the new regulations coming through.
I’m wondering if you could go through the pros of cons of this and talk about the regulations that might make it challenging?"
