Fresh off a losing battle with technical difficulties we return with our twentieth episode where I not only go full Frank Manfredi right off the bat but also survive a spider attack as we review my choice of 2010’s ‘The Social Network’. Directed by David Fincher and written by Aaron Sorkin ‘The Social Network’ not only dominates Rotten Tomatoes with a 96% but is an interesting look back on the platform that changed it all, Facebook.
Join us as we share our initial reactions of the film, favourite moments, trivia/previous knowledge, and discuss how college life differs between the US & Canada, entrepreneurship, the progression of social media platforms over the years (and how they were used), the accuracies/inaccuracies of how Facebook was created, it’s incredibly revolutionary impact on the world, the metaverse' current influence on our lives and reflect on what Mark Zuckerberg and his creation's legacy will truly be all these years later.
We also talk Jesse Eisenberg’s incredible breakthrough performance, how good of a friend/dresser ‘The Amazing Spiderman’ is, how chilling it is to watch Armie Hammer’s performance since recently being outed as a cannibal, influencers, unsupportive friends, red meat, English & Australian accents, Bibleman, Sebastian Maniscalco, how being tall is the ultimate life hack and by the time we conclude I am left to ponder if this is even worth continuing as we encounter our biggest controversy since Armageddon..
