And 'The Film Buffs & Gym Rats' have reached their 25th episode! It has been a joy to share our love of fitness and film with you all and what better representative of cinematic achievement to celebrate our milestone episode with than 1999’s The Sixth Sense? Boasting an impressive and somewhat surprising 8.2 on IMDB and 86% on Rotten Tomatoes this is now the third movie we’ve reviewed starring Bruce Willis and we hope it fares better than Armageddon (tune in to find out) #justiceforarmageddon
Join us as we share our initial reactions of the film, favourite moments, trivia/previous knowledge, unanswered questions (of which there are many) and perform an overall deep dive into the film that put M. Night Shyamalan on the map! Specifically, if the *twist* still truly lands for an ending that is so famously spoiled, the plethora of Bruceisms this movie contains, if the film would have been improved if Shyamalan leaned further into the horror or religious aspects and if the overall viewing experience is lessend with each additional rewatch.
As per usual we also diverge from the film on hand and engage in another round of ‘Zach’s Movie Versus’ as a matter of fact the very same versus from our long-lost episode 19: Pirates of the Caribbean! (a moment of silence for long lost episode 19…) We also attempt to initiate a new segment called ‘Valid? With cousin Tyler’ but it failed due to…reasons followed by a dicussion about Nate Diaz’ most recent victory, House of Dragons, if Harry Styles did in fact spit on Chris Pine, my main man Stan, Zach’s reaction to Sweat Equity’s Sunday tradition, how Jocelyn overcame smoking, dentists, my shameful obsession of Reboot, the 'Don't Worry Darling' drama, and of course one my favourite topics ever, Brendan Fraser and his Rick O'Connellsaince!
