Description

On our fifth episode we almost call our first audible and go with The Town and (of course) Pulp Fiction, but fortunately continue on with Zach's choice of 2017's Wind River! Directed by Taylor Sheridan, a writer/director we all are fans of, Wind River officially secures our number one spot with it's incredible cinematography and powerful performances! How it did not receive a single Oscar nomination is an absolute bewildering mind exploding tornado of confusion! For although the film literally opens with Jeremy Renner being full Hawkeye, it is without question his best performance and the entire supporting cast is truly spectacular! Especially actor Gil Birmingham who portrays Martin, of whom I fully recognize and apologize to as we failed to remember his name during this recording, but assure it will never be forgotten going forward! So join us as we share our initial (and obviously positive) reactions of the film, favourite moments, and discuss it's ability to respectfully represent the trials and tribulations facing Indigenous populations across modern day North America. We also dedicate some time into sharing what Wind River does better in 6 minutes than Armaggedon did in two plus hours, if Jon Bernthal has the best grunt in the business today, how Jocelyn isn't even a true member of Sweat Equity (she doesn't even go here...) all while laying seeds for next week thanks to her revealing just how in love she is with Daniel Craig... #andnew #undisputed #goldenbuzzer

Special acknowledgement & thank you to Kayla Spence for her consultation and contribution towards this episode!
